Hughes Custom First Aid began as a division of Hughes Customat, Inc., a family owned and operated entrance mat service provider in St. Louis, MO. Also known as "The Mat Man", Hughes Customat, Inc. has been providing entrance mat service to businesses in the St. Louis Metropolitan area since 1974. While working for Hughes Customat, Inc. in a sales/customer relations capacity Rebecca (Becky) Hughes along with her father Gene Hughes decided to expand the offerings of the company to include mobile first aid van service. Service is modeled after the way in which Hughes Customat, Inc. has been serving customers since the beginning. Hughes Customat, Inc. is successful due to the dependable service, integrity of employees, and the practice of putting the customer's needs first. Hughes Custom First Aid & Safety supplies top quality, industrial grade first aid products and meeting customers' needs are the main priority. After working as a small division of Hughes Customat, Inc. for a few years, Hughes Custom First Aid & Safety, LLC was formed in 2010.
In addition to Hughes Customat, Inc. and Hughes Custom First Aid & Safety, "The Hughes Family of Service Companies" includes Image Solutions USA a direct sale uniform, corporate apparel, embroidery, and promotional products provider. Image Solutions USA was formed in 1999. Along with Hughes Customat, Inc and Image Solutions, Hughes Custom First Aid & Safety continues in the tradition of providing customers with superior quality and service.
Hughes Custom First Aid & Safety, LLC is owned by Rebecca Hughes serving as President and Director.
Rebecca Hughes joined Hughes Customat, Inc. in 2000. Prior to joining the family business, she worked in the environmental testing and cleanup industry in various capacities beginning in 1994. Becky is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies. She earned her Master's degree in Business Administration from Lindenwood University in 1999. In addition to the management and development of Hughes Custom First Aid & Safety, LLC, Becky will continue her duties in customer relations and sales for Hughes Customat, Inc.
